The Schindler House depicts the idea of implied symmetry to create a balance between the building and its surrounding site. The site plan and site section are intended to illustrate the use of implied symmetry. As seen in the section, the house is balanced even on the second floor, in which both units consist of their distinctive balconies. Each household includes: two studios, a patio, and excavated outdoor landscape. The perspectives depict the various patio views that each studio is exposed to.

With the intention of balancing the different elements of the house, Schindler uses vegetation to frame certain areas for each household, as well as bamboo plants as a screen to surround the house. In doing so, it enhances the landscape and structural elements of the design such that the integration allows for this ambiguous division between nature and man-made.
